Bethesda has another hit franchise with Fallout, so it's no surprise that they're looking at capturing the namesake for themselves and transitioning that into not only new potential games, but also movies or a television series.

Or it could merely be steps to keep their franchise safe from anyone who'd want to make crappy products using its name.
