Yes, you read that right: Asteroids...the movie. The old videogame, which had no plot whatsoever and consisted of nothing more than flying around a screen while shooting asteroids, has just been picked up by Universal for the big screen treatment. Beyond Asteroids becoming a movie, it's equally shocking to learn Universal won the rights in an actual bidding war with three other studios.

Hmm...maybe I need to try and adapt Galaga or Mappy and make me a load of money.
