'Dollhouse' (2.7) “Meet Jane Doe” – Review
Tue, 12/22/2009 - 12:16 — Karyn Methven
Echo is on her own in Texas and tries to help a girl get food, but the girl – Galena - is caught by police and Echo manages to get away. Back at the Dollhouse, Mr. Harding is in charge of the house and Adelle is his assistant, which is depressing. Topher has Victor and Sienna helping him on some secret project. Paul is now with Echo and they are living together, planning to break out Galena. Echo is working as a nurse at County Hospital and she and Paul have been training to takedown the Dollhouse. The escape for Galena has a wrench thrown into the works when Galena wakes up too soon from a shot designed to fake her death. Echo manages to get them out with Paul pulling a wild card to get the pursuit called off.
Echo has fallen in love with Paul, but he feels that he cannot take advantage of her, so he pushes her away. Once Echo is brought back to the Dollhouse, Paul tells Boyd that her headaches are growing worse. Adelle doesn’t care though and puts Echo into isolation. Topher admits to Adelle what his secret project was about, and Adelle betrays his trust by giving the info to Harding to get him to give her the House back.

Echo and Paul should’ve gotten busy. They’re a good couple and complement each other. Trust Paul to have ethics. He sure didn’t when it came to November. But then, he didn’t know that November was a Doll then. Echo is a special case though. She is her own person, and that means she was offering herself fully as a human being, not as a Doll.
I don’t know what Paul and Echo are planning, but it should be interesting. Echo wants to get the Dolls out soon and safely. Boyd is in on the gig and that just means that this is serious. I want to know what happened in the time from when Paul meets up with Echo and they begin to live together. There is a period of time where I have no idea what was going on. That leaves me curious. Adelle screwed Topher, which was bad in a serious way. I just don’t know what to make of Adelle. She’s one odd bird. I will wait and see what is going on with this situation.
