    'Scribblenauts 2' Coming This Fall

It was just revealed that Scribblenauts 2 will be coming to the DS this fall. I thought the original was a promising game, but it had too many flaws - namely the same items could be used to solve many of the levels, but most importantly, the game had some horrible controls. Scribblenauts 2 is sounding promising, however, as they're fixing the controls and adding adjectives to the mix.

"According to GoNintendo's notes from the issue, Scribblenauts 2 will have the sort of additions and improvements you'd expect for a game all about random vocabulary: It'll have a whopping 10,000 new words, 120 "new and improved" levels, improved controls (one of the major complaints with the first game), a new hint system, a fleshed out level editor, and apparently it'll focus heavily on adjectives. That last one could potentially open the gameplay possibilities quite a bit, considering adjectives could be used to modify the things you create. For example, maybe you aren't just able to conjure a T-Rex, but a rotund T-Rex? Or -- could you imagine -- a delighted T-Rex?"

    New Trailer For 'Infinite Space'

I'm torn about this game every time I see it. I love RPGs (especially on the DS) and it's got a sci-fi setting, so that's a plus too. With that said, however, I don't know too much about the story and they don't ever really show what the actual gameplay looks like. See what you think.

'Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars' Announced

Okay, I'm officially calling it - Traveler's Tales is milking the hell out of LEGO games. Take for example their Star Wars games. I had no problem with them covering the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy, but now they've just announced Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars. Really? A new Lego game based on the cartoon series? So the franchise has proved so popular you need to find some way to continually milk it.

Don't be surprised when you see Lego Star Wars 4: The Novels announced. I can already see the Lego cutscene where the moon falls on Chewie.

'Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes' (DS) – Review

I loved the original Puzzle Quest, as it blended two genres together – puzzle and RPG – and did so in a spectacular way. Along comes Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes, which continues the tradition of the genre mash-up, but with a new puzzle system and plenty of strategy to take into consideration. If the idea of an RPG meets strategy game meets puzzle game sounds intriguing to you, this just might be the game to keep you busy.

'Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans' (DS) – Review

I think I've played more Dragon Ball games than any other franchise. The one consistent that I've learned when it comes to this franchise is that if there's a good game to be found, it's generally only when it comes to the fighting game genre (and even then they aren't always perfect). Side-scrolling beat 'em ups – pass. Card battling game – it was okay. I've never played a Dragon Ball based RPG before now, however, but it seems like there's a reason for that…it doesn't make for that great a game.

'Dementium II' Trailer Scary As Hell

Ryo Hazuki Makes A Return Appearance For Sega

Ryo Hazuki was the star of one of my favorite games of all-time...Shenmue! Of course, he was also the star of one of the most disappointing sequels of all-time...Shenmue II! Ugh...I have horrible memories of spending the last hours of the game doing nothing but running through woods and doing literally nothing. That is fun? Anyways, Ryo will be returning to consoles once again, but this time he's going to be putting those forklift racing skills to use in the upcoming Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing.

    'Scribblenauts' (Nintendo DS) – Review

Scribblenauts has been one of the most hyped DS games of all-time, as it won a number of awards this year when it showed at E3. Scribblenauts, however, isn't a game that completely lives up to the hype, which makes me wonder how it won so much in the first place. Did people play the game or just randomly type words in at the title screen and praise it as the best thing ever? While the gameplay is quite fun, the terrible controls are unbearable at times and are easily some of the worst I've ever experienced on the DS.

    'Scribblenauts' Racism Misunderstood

Scribblenauts is currently involved in a racism scandal, as the word "sambo" is featured in the game. If you type the word in a fruit that looks like a watermelon appears. Some people have claimed that the game is being racist because the word is in there at all, while others claim the game is being racist because "sambo" is an old derogatory word for black people, and one stereotype is that all black people like watermelon. The truth from the Scribblenauts team, however, is the fact that sambo is a watermelon looking gourd/fruit and that's why it appears as it does in the game and why it was included.

Destructoid has more on the subject and the history of sambo and why some people are offended.

New 'Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey' Trailer

DS owners just got Devil Survivor not too long ago, but now Japanese DS owners are about to get a new Shin Megami Tensei game - Strange Journey - on October 10th. I'm happening it doesn't take too long for Atlus to localize the game, as I want this soon! Watch the new Japanese trailer to see the game in action.

'The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks' Gets A December Release Date

The latest game in the portable adventures of Link - The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks - has just been given the official release date of December 7th (perfect for those holiday buying gift purchases). Spirit Tracks continues the cel-shaded styling of the past last Zelda DS game, but delivers a new train-riding mechanic too.
