I've said it before, but Dead Rising is still one of my favorite Xbox 360 games, so of course I can't wait for the sequel later this year. We've seen screenshots and footage before, but nothing really regarding story...until now. You won't have the whole story detailed in this trailer, but the gist seems to be that Chuck has to uncover a conspiracy he's blamed for and constantly supply his daughter with a special drug that will keep her from turning into one of the undead. I see an emotional journey up ahead. Here's the trailer.

Here's a nice happy holidays message from Capcom - we're delaying the big releases you've all been waiting for. Surprise! Lost Planet 2, Super Street Fighter IV, and Dead Rising 2 have all been delayed to the company's 2010 fiscal year (staring in April, ending March 31, 2011). Oh great, so we might not see some of them until 2011. Joy!

One of my most anticipated games is Dead Rising 2, which I was hoping would appear at E3 this year. As it turns out, it seems that zombies have finally met their match, and are finally afraid of something for the first time in their history - the swine flu. Capcom shares why they won't be showing Dead Rising 2 at E3 this year:

"Our Capcom guys are not coming to E3 because of the Japanese government restrictions," said Chris Kramer, senior director, communications and community. "The company is taking the advisory very seriously."

I need this game now. Behold using a moose head to attack zombies! Also on the cool front, a dirt bike with chainsaws attached to the handlebars, and imagine if Darth Maul wielding a stick with chainsaws on both ends. Yes...pure awesome indeed.

Dead Rising is still one of my favorite Xbox 360 titles and zombies games ever. I remember finishing the game and thinking, "I need a sequel!" The sequel may be on the way and this teaser trailer may be the first real scoop...if it's indeed legit. If this trailer is a fake, however, I commend whoever put it together as it's very convincing and real looking.

If the trailer is real it looks like players will be killing zombies in a giant, luxurious casino/hotel resort. Must...play...now! See for yourself what you think.

I don't think any true horror fan once thought for a second that the premise of Dead Rising - zombies invade a mall - was original since it completely stole the idea from Dawn of the Dead. The comparisson didn't hurt the game, however, as it was still a fantastic games and still remains one of my favorite Xbox 360 offerings. A lawsuit was still filed because of supposed copyright infringments, but the judge on the case has thrown the lawsuit out and rightfully so.

Dead Rising is one of my favorite games for the Xbox 360. If I could only get my fix of the game from the Wii version, however, I think this game would plummet down my list of favorite games of all-time. Basically, take away all the pretty graphics, tons and tons of zombies, and in exchange throw in some motion controls. Tada! Dead Rising for the Wii in a nutshell.
