'Superman: Red Son' – Review

What if the Superman we knew wasn't a proud symbol of America, but rather a superhero that backed Russia and all its beliefs? What if Lex Luthor wasn't an evil mastermind, but rather an idealistic American who didn't want Communism sweeping across the globe? Superman: Red Son - a fascinating "what if" book by writer extreme Mark Millar – is a great look into the psyche of Superman, which shows that no matter where he is raised, an ever-persistent need to do good always propels Superman forward.

'Superman' #681 – Review

The New Krypton story continues with the second part this week, which culminates with a meeting between the president of the USA and an embassy league of Kryptonians led by Supergirl's parents and old friend from when she was growing up. The book was more setup than anything else, but it's still a quality release that is worth your time and money.
'Superman: New Krypton' One Shot - Review
Tue, 10/28/2008 - 11:18 — Jason Van Horn
After hearing about the upcoming plans for the series and the death of Clark's father in the last issue, I jumped on the Superman bandwagon to see how the story would go from here. I never cared for Superman outside of a few stories, mainly because he's so powerful he never felt human (of course, he isn't human, but that's beyond the point). If you've been waiting for a more humanized Superman, look no further than the New Krypton one shot, which is the perfect jumping on point for the upcoming Superman arc that could change things forever.
'Action Comics' #870 – Review

The last time I actively collected Superman, the Man of Steel had just died, a bunch of wannabe Supermen were taking up his collective run of books, and then finally the return of the real deal. Since then, however, the closest I've got to a Superman book was one of the Infinite Crises issues. After hearing about how monumental the latest Action Comics issue is, however, I had to pick it up to see for myself. In short – I was not disappointed.

Superman is one of the most recognizable comic characters in all of history. In an act to preserve the home where Siegel & Shuster first created Superman, Ordinary People Change The World are working to raise money in hopes of preserving the comic book landmark. The group is holding several events to raise money, taking donations, and holding a ebay auction with some cool art and prizes. Aint It Cool News has up more info on the preservation and all the links to the site to donate money to help the preservation efforts.

It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Superman! And he's flying off the page and right at me...ahhhh! Yep, you heard correct. The red, white, and blue headache inducing eyesore that is the 3D medium is soon going to bring the Man of Steel zooming out of the comics and straight into your face. DC Comics now has up a synopsis of the project and even a piece of 3D preview art.
