Preacher being adapted for live-action status has been a failed promise for a long time now, as proposals for a television series have long since stalled. Finally, however, Preacher fans will be getting their adaptation, as Sam Mendes will be tackling the director duties for a Preacher film.

I've yet to jump on the Preacher bandwagon, so maybe that should be the next collection of graphic novels I collect. For currently existing fans, news of an HBO was a cause to celebrate, but it seems that the series won't be happening because it's been deemed too violent and controversial. Sad news, but at least you'll have the graphic novels to keep you warm at night.
