    'Portal 2' Details Coming Out

Portal 2 was just announced and already we're getting info on story details and gameplay based on Game Informer's upcoming cover story.

"Portal 2 will, reportedly, take place hundreds of years after the first Portal, resulting in the Aperture Science labs looking like "a jungle." Despite this significant time shift, Portal 2 will still somehow once again star Chell, the first game's protagonist, as the playable character in the single-player game. GlaDOS returns as well, with the (Portal 1 spoiler warning) personality cores you seemingly destroyed at the end of the first game having taken over different areas of the lab.

Meanwhile, as previously revealed, the co-op campaign will be a stand-alone story...that apparently stars two bi-pedal robots. Gameplay-wise, physics will play a bigger role in the puzzles, with one example being using a portal to suck air from a vent in one area into another. There will also be "reflection cubes" that'll be used for laser-redirection puzzles. Game Informer's cover story also confirms that Portal 2 will indeed be a full-fledged game, with Valve comparatively calling Portal 1 a "test bed."

LucasArts Remaking 'Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge'?

LucasArts' remake/special edition of the original Monkey Island apparently did so well for the company that the news on the street is that they're going to be announcing sometime soon a similar remake/special edition for Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, which will reportedly be on the Xbox 360 Xbox Live Arcade, PC, and iPhone.

    'Portal' Gets A New Ending

Hot on the heels of the recent Portal patch and all its crazy hidden messages, it turns out that the game now has a new ending! Is that Dog from Half-Life 2? Will the next game be a Portal/Half-Life 2 hybrid since the games share the same universe?

    'Heavy Rain' (PS3) – Review

Heavy Rain is undeniably unique and an important footnote along the evolutionary line of videogames. It's not even a "game" so much as an engrossing experiment that tasks the player with accepting their choices, sticking by them, and seeing how far you'd go to protect the ones you love. It's not without its flaws, but it's still a remarkable achievement.

Could 'Portal 2' Be In The Works?

I loved Portal, so today's news has me really excited. Not enough to read all the forum posts and try to decipher everything myself, but still, I'm jumping for joy.

Yesterday, Steam Portal owners got an unexpected patch for the game, which kind of came out of nowhere. By navigating a radio around the world and activating various switches and requirements, different codes and static messages are broadcast. When translated they hint at images and other oddities. Could this be a hint to a Portal 2? I certainly hope so. Here's a video of the radio in action.

New 'Super Mario Galaxy 2' Trailer Looks Excellent

At a Nintendo event that just happened, Nintendo revealed that Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be coming out on May 23rd. Yeah! The even better news...this trailer they just released.

    PSN/iPhone Getting 'Kick-Ass' Game

If you've been reading the site for any length of time, you'd know I love Kick-Ass. The series is fantastic and I can only hope the comic continues after the teaser ending of the first arc. I also can't wait for the new movie, as the trailer yesterday looked wicked. Word comes today that the Playstation Network and the iPhone will be getting a Kick-Ass game featuring Kick-Ass, Hit Girl, and Big Daddy as playable characters. Can't wait!

    'Dante's Inferno' (Xbox 360) – Review

Much has been said about Dante's Inferno – namely that it's nothing more than a God of War clone. While it is definitely a God of War clone, it's a damn fine good one, which does enough in this opening installment to pave the way for what I can only hope is a series that covers the entire length of The Divine Comedy (or at least continues in a way that's just as interesting). If you've got the stomach for it, Dante's Inferno is a really fun and exciting game.

New 'God of War 3' Trailer

'Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars' Announced

Okay, I'm officially calling it - Traveler's Tales is milking the hell out of LEGO games. Take for example their Star Wars games. I had no problem with them covering the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy, but now they've just announced Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars. Really? A new Lego game based on the cartoon series? So the franchise has proved so popular you need to find some way to continually milk it.

Don't be surprised when you see Lego Star Wars 4: The Novels announced. I can already see the Lego cutscene where the moon falls on Chewie.

'Stargate: Resistance' Coming Out Next Week

Have you not heard of Stargate: Resistance before? I wouldn't be surprised - there was one announcement to say the game was coming and now there's an announcement saying the game is coming out next week for only $20 bucks. I love the Stargate franchise, but I'm concerned about the quality of this game.

For those that don't know, the Stargate MMO was put on hold and assets from that game were used to create this game, which they hope to help the company make some money so they can go and finish the actual MMO.
