'ODST' Sales Numbers and Return of Master Chief

Halo 3: ODST has only been out two weeks, but already the game has sold 2.5 million copies. Hmmm...you think the Halo franchise is still popular. Despite the game's sales, don't go thinking we won't be seeing franchise hero Master Chief ever again, as Microsoft says they have a plan, and it involves said hero.

"As for Master Chief, odds are he will be seen again. "I think that (his) fate, Cortana's fate and the identity of that giant, dark planet at the ending (on the game's hardest skill level) - that's a spoiler - are probably big mysteries that would be irritating if they were just cliffhangers," O'Connor says. "We do have a plan that goes out at least six years," he says. "Eventually, it will become very apparent that there is a plan for the way the canon all ties together and the way the comic books and the novels all tie together."

    'Halo 3: ODST' (Xbox 360) – Review

I should've known something was different when I didn't feel the urge to keep up on all the latest news regarding Halo 3: ODST. I never waited around and counted the days until the game was released. I never felt compelled to fork tons of cash over just to own a replica helmet that serves no purpose in my room. Despite a solid campaign and all the multiplayer goodness you could ask for, it still feels like there's a spark missing when it comes to Bungie's latest offering.

Nathan Fillion Talks 'Halo: ODST' Role

I'll admit it...Nathan Fillion is my guy crush. I'm talking about a purely heterosexual way, but I'd just love to hang with the guy and play some Halo with him. Here's a video for your viewing pleasure, where Nathan Fillion talks about his role in the upcoming Halo: ODST.

Bungie's Game Finally Titled - 'Halo 3: Recon'

A teaser trailer was released not long ago, but this is the complete trailer, continuing to show more CG cutscenes after the teaser ended. Officially titled Halo 3: Recon, the game will feature a new hero by way of a UNSC Recon Marine. The game will feature a new campaign, maps, etc. I'm a bit torn on the idea of a side-story featuring a character that isn't Master Chief and one who is supposed to do recon work on the Covenant, but I'll give Bungie the benefit of the doubt for now.
