Michael Trucco Set To Play 'V' Resistance Leader

Michael Trucco, who fans probably know best as Anders from Battlestar Galactica, has joined on to V to play the fabled resistance leader John May, who was referenced in the first four episodes of the series. Currently, Trucco is set to play the character for only one episode.

"According to the four episodes we saw of V last fall, May is the founder and leader of the Fifth Column, the group of Vs who are against their peoples' plans for Earth and the human race. Ryan (Morris Chestnut), a sleeper V who has been on Earth since before the Visitors arrived, once was involved in the resistance. Now he and Earthlings Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Father Jack (Joel Gretsch) are attempting to resurrect the Fifth Column."

    Three More Actors Join 'V'

Three more actors have just joined the cast of V and many of them should be familiar to fans of the sci-fi/fantasy genre. Charles Mesure (Xena: Warrior Princess), Nicholas Lea (X-Files, Andromeda) and the lovely Lexa Doig (Andromeda, Stargate SG-1) will all be joining the show when it returns.

"Mesure will pop up as a black ops mercenary hired by the resistance to bolster their forces. Lea will be playing Erica's (Elizabeth Mitchell) ex-husband in what William Keck says is a two-ep arc. And Loig will be an OB/GYN who is taking care of the alien-impregnated Valerie Stevens (Lourdes Benedicto)."

ABC Not Giving Up On 'Flash Forward' and 'V'

Flash Forward and V - two shows ABC hopes can grow to replace Lost after its final season - haven't met the greatest of successes yet. They haven't done terrible, but they haven't been as successful as the network was hoping for either. Still, despite growing problems, ABC isn't ready to give up on the two shows yet. The network has talked with the creators, know what their game plans are moving on from here, and they believe they've got some great stuff lined up from them.

ABC Cuts 'V' and 'Flash Forward' Season Orders

Well, it's good news in a sense, as it's not news regarding ABC completely canceling V and Flash Forward, but it's still not exactly 100% positive news. The word today is that ABC will be cutting an episode from both V and Flash Forward's season order. That means that V (returning March 30) will have eight episodes while Flash Forward (returning March 4) will have 14 new episodes.

    'V' (1.4) “It’s Only the Beginning” – Review

What happened this week on “V”? Well, Anna invited Tyler up to the ship to meet her, but Lisa doesn’t tell Tyler that Anna is her mother until they meet up. Tyler ignores his mother because Anna is showing Tyler the propulsion system and filling his head with things. Tyler is even more enamoured of the “V”.

    'V' Ratings Decline Stops

The show isn't coming back until the beginning of the year, but it's always nice to leave on a high note, and hearing that the ratings finally stopped sliding is a good thing and gives hope the show might actually get a full season at least.

"This signal of potential stability—and the fact "V" is halting above the 3.0 watermark—makes it very likely that ABC will bring back the alien invasion drama in the spring. In fact, the network ran a promo at the end of the episode saying "V" will return in March, even as ABC's publicity department continues to say that no decision has been made."

    'V' (1.3) "A Bright New Day” – Review

Things are getting tense for Erica and Jack. Erica has gone through the list and has found about 200 people that may want to help, while Jack is being deluged by people questioning their faith and the Visitors. Erica is mandated to join a task force on threats against the visitors.

    'V' Ratings Continue To Fall

Next week's episode of V is supposed to be the last of the show until next year, but with these poor ratings it's looking like it could be the last episode ever.

The "third episode saw ratings and audience drop significantly again, down 18 percent to 9.3 million (3.1 rating among adults 18-49), according to The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed blog. That after a precipitous 29 percent drop in week two from the blockbuster premiere."

'V' (1.2) “There Is No Normal” – Review

Well, the poop has hit the proverbial fan, now that the secret is out about our alien Visitors. Anna may have a hard time deciding on what outfit to wear, but there is a resistance happening and they won’t be sitting down for this dinner party. Erica has to explain Dale’s disappearance, but conveniently the evidence leads to Dale being a part of the “Terrorist Group.” Jack is a nervous wreck about the whole thing and needs some time to come to terms with what he’s seen.

    'V' Ratings Down 29%

V pulled in some big numbers last week, but this week...meh...not so much. Was it a desire for nostalgia that had so many people tune-in last week just for a taste of what once was?

"The second "V" hour was seen by 10.6 million viewers and drew a 3.7 preliminary rating among adults 18-49, down 29% from last week. That's the largest fall from a premiere we've seen for a scripted show this season."

    'V' (1.1) “Pilot” – Review

This is a reimagining of the original television series “V” which aired from 1983 to 1985. Gone is Diana, replaced by Anna, and the other human characters are all different too. The location is New York, as opposed to Los Angeles, and the feel is very post 9/11; not like the USSR vs. USA as it was back in ’83.

    Huge Ratings For 'V' Premiere

V is officially the biggest sci-fi hit of the season, and "it looks likely that this will be the biggest show to debut at 8 p.m. since another ABC sci-fi series, Lost." 13.9 million people watched the pilot episode last night and that number is likely to grow once DVR numbers are included.

    'V' Gets A New Showrunner

V just premiered last night and already there's a shake-up?!? The 4400's Scott Peters was the main man in charge, even going so far as to hire an actor from his previous series and filming the show on the same sets. Well, Peters is out, and now Scott Rosenbaum - a former executive producer of NBC's Chuck - is the top showrunner and making the decisions.

It's also being reported that V executive producer/writer, Jeffrey Bell, will also be leaving the series.

    Rut-ro Shaggy!

    Juliet Returning To 'Lost'

After setting off the bomb at the end of last season in Lost, many wondered if Juliet would be seen again during the show's final season. Another reason people were speculating her involvement was because Elizabeth Mitchell was set to star in the remake of V too, which premieres tonight. In a recent interview, however, she revealed that she does resume Lost shooting starting the 14th on November.

As for what might be happening in the final season of Lost, even she doesn't know:

"I can't [say], because they've decided to do a complete blackout," Elizabeth Mitchell, who played the character, told us exclusively last week on the set of her new show, ABC's V. "They're doing no press, and they're giving no hints and no spoilers, and they're showing no promos. So I really can't say anything."

    ABC Rethinks 'V' Viral Campaign

I think it would've been pretty cool to walk outside, look up into the air, and see a giant red 'V' floating in the sky. Yes, it would be somewhat creepy, but a great way to get the word out (of course only those who know about the show would probably get the campaign to begin with).

ABC has pulled the plug on the marketing idea, however, because they don't want it to freak people out in a terrorist sort of way, plus the "amount of pollution the skywriting campaign would cause (800 grams of lead, three tons of CO2, etc)" goes against Disney's promise to cut fuel emissions.
