    Eleventh Hour

'Eleventh Hour' (1.9) "Flesh" – Review

I'm starting to see a trend when it comes to Eleventh Hour. There hasn't really been a terrible hour of the show yet, but there is usually a big difference between the best episodes and the merely ok ones. The quality of the "ok" episodes usually hinges on the quality of the medical mystery. The best episodes have the great mystery, but also focus on the characters driving the mystery forward. While the mystery was interesting this week, it's hard to care for a bunch of douchebags and easy girls who end up getting sick.

'Eleventh Hour' (1.8) "Titans" – Review

The latest episode of Eleventh Hour was very fun, featuring an intriguing scientific mystery, a few poignant moments, and a couple character driven moments that helped flesh the characters out every so slightly. Eleventh Hour still isn't wowing me week-to-week, but it consistently delivers strange and satisfying hours of television.

'Eleventh Hour' Gets Five More Episodes

Since this is being called the "back five" episodes, it looks like Eleventh Hour has just been green lit to have a full season, making it the first new sci-fi show (if I'm not mistaken) to get a full order so far. The show consistently wins its timeslot, obviously a big factor as to why the pickup.

'Eleventh Hour' (1.6) "Frozen" – Review

Eleventh Hour has been idling for the last two episodes, as they've merely been okay, with some moments of pure stupidity. The mystery this week is fascinating and involves an interesting philosophical discussion on life and death, but other than that it was still only an average episode. Much like the victims in this episode, I feel like giving the cold shoulder to this show if they don't elevate the series back to the lofty heights set forth in the first two or three episodes.

'Eleventh Hour' (1.5) "Containment" – Review

Thursday nights have seen a flip-flop in quality, as the once abysmal Life On Mars is slowly coming into its own, while the once excellent Eleventh Hour is going backwards and slipping into the land of mediocrity. The premise of "Containment" had tremendous storytelling potential, but was ultimately plagued by choreographed plot points and random bouts of stupidity that affected it greatly.

'Eleventh Hour' (1.4) "Savant" – Review

Though the latest hour of Eleventh Hour was still an enjoyable mystery, overall it felt like a step back for the series, and certainly the worst of the four episodes to air so far. The episode was just a little too dull and didn't feature as many clever science moments or looks into humanity that usually make the show special.

'Eleventh Hour' (1.3) "Agro" – Review

Based on what I've been reading, it seems like Eleventh Hour is starting to do pretty well in the ratings department, but it could always use more to become an even bigger hit. It's hard to recommend any new shows this season, but Eleventh Hour is one I can fully get behind. In my experience, it's a show I've shown off to people for at least one episode, and the next thing I know they want to watch next week. Eleventh Hour is a quality show that remains solid each week.

'Eleventh Hour' (1.2) "Cardiac" – Review

It's only the second week of the show, but already I'm impressed by a show that wasn't even on my radar until the pilot premiered last week. The show does a couple things wrong to merely be kooky for kooky sake, but by the end of the episode you're still given a solid hour of television that focuses on scientific mysteries.

Ratings Updates For 'Eleventh Hour' and 'Life On Mars'

As you'll see in our reviews of these shows later today, personally speaking I couldn't be happier at the ratings news today. Life On Mars had a ton of potential, but is squandering it in so many terrible ways. Meanwhile, Eleventh Hour is actually a fun show to watch and well worth your time. Here are the ratings for each show's second episode, which aired last week.

    Eleventh Hour - 7.8/13
    Life On Mars - 5.6/9

'Eleventh Hour' (1.1) "Resurrection" – Review

Up until the week of the premiere, I didn't even know Eleventh Hour was a sci-fi television series, as it looked like nothing more than yet another CSI/Cold Case/Without a Trace type series. I'm always looking for good quality sci-fi television, so I decided to give the premiere episode a watch, just to try it out. The premiere episode wasn't amazing by any stretch of the imagination, but it was decent and tolerable, featuring the chance to grow into more.
