Next 'Batman' To Be Nolan's Last?

The Christopher Nolan Batman films have been huge successes, but you can only tackle the same material so long before you grow tired of doing it. In the case of Nolan it seems that three is the limit, as the next Batman film will reportedly be his last.

"I'm very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we've done with the characters," Nolan said. "My brother [Jonah] has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these thing don't go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we're telling. And it hearkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That's what we do."

New 'Iron Man 2' Trailer - Can't Wait

    'Stephen King's N.' #1 (of 4) – Review

Before it was ever published in Stephen King's latest short-story collection – Just After Sunset – Stephen King's story N. was first released as a series of webisodes. I never saw the webisodes and haven't got the chance to read the book the short story is in, so the first issue of the miniseries based on the story is the first time I've experienced the material. I didn't know quite what to expect going into things, but what I found was the excellent moody and frightful beginning of a story that I can't wait to see progress from issue to issue.

    'Wolverine' Sequel Gets Start Date

The story has been known for quite some time - Wolverine heading to Japan and following a story somewhat like Frank Miller did back in the day - but so far there has been no word on when the Wolverine sequel would start filming. Well that changes today, as Wolverine 2 will officially start shooting come next January. That's still a long ways away though, so don't expect the movie anytime soon.

Greg Berlanti To Direct 'Flash' Film?

Greg Berlanti, who is the co-writer of the upcoming Green Lantern film, is apparently in the running to handle the directing duties of a Flash film. Nothing is really known about what the story could be about or if Berlanti will even indeed direct it, but that's the word on the street right now.

Has 'Superman: The Man of Steel' Found Its Writer(s)?

It's been reported before that Warner Bros. approached Christopher Nolan to be a grandfather for the upcoming new Superman film, though he wouldn't be writing or directing...just giving advice. It seems today that the movie may have found its writers by way of David Goyer (who just recently left Flash Forward) and Nolan's own brother Jonah.

Of course, though two sites are reporting as true, one is reporting as false, so who knows. It could be big news, however, so I thought I'd post it for all of you.

    'Green Lantern' Film Casts Sinestro

The rumor for the longest time had Jackie Earle Haley being cast as Sinestro in the upcoming Green Lantern film. Well, it turns out to have been just that - a rumor - as actor Mark Strong has instead been officially cast to play the role of Sinestro.

'Dragon Age' Comic Delayed To April

Much like Kick-Ass, Dragon Age is another franchise I can't get enough of. I'm waiting for Awakenings to come out in March, I need to buy the two novels, and now I'm waiting until April for the Dragon Age comic - written by Orson Scott Card - which has just been delayed.

    'Smallville' Casts Maxwell Lord

As of late, Smallville has been bringing a lot of DC characters onto the show, such as Doomsday, Green Arrow, the JSA, etc. The latest character to be making the transition from the comics to the television series is Maxwell Lord, who will be played by Gil Bellows. Lord is a unique character, as he was portrayed as a good guy and JL backer for a long time, but then was later revealed to be a villain.

    'Ultimate Comics Spider-Man' #7 – Review

I love me some Ultimate Spider-Man. In fact, the recent news that Bendis is involved in the new Spidey movie series reboot has got me pretty excited. The guy can hardly do any wrong when it comes to the series. But I wasn't completely on board with this latest issue. It's maybe the first time in the series that I really couldn't follow the story.

New NSFW Red Band Trailer For 'Kick-Ass'

I'm glad you weren't around when I saw this video for the first time earlier this morning. I was as giddy as a girl meeting the Jonas brothers.

'Human Target' (1.6) "Lockdown" – Review

Human Target is pure escapism – nothing more and nothing less. Does it have the sophistication and thought provoking qualities of a Lost? Nope, not by a long shot. Does it challenge my intelligence with a garble of scientific nonsense and made up words? Nope again. Instead, Human Target is an hour-long, popcorn movie experience, which is delivered to your home on a weekly basis. Such a description might be a turnoff to some, but sometimes all you need is a way to escape for a little, and Human Target fits that bill perfectly.

Peter Sarsgaard Talks 'Green Lantern' Villain Role

Peter Sarsgaard, who will be playing the Green Lantern villain role of Hector Hammond, recently talked a little about his role and why he's excited to be playing the part.

"It's something completely different for me and something that I've not done before," he told us at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where he received a Cinema Vanguard Award. "I imagine that if I'd done 10 of them I wouldn't be as excited as I am, but it's not the kind of thing that I normally do. It feels expansive to me. It feels like shackles being taken off instead of being put on. I just feel like I can do anything with this role. I can't really talk much about it, because we have to protect it, but it's a very, very fun role, and I just don't get the opportunity to play a role that is so expansive and delicious—and it really is!"
