    'Civilization Network' Coming To Facebook

I've been known to waste time on Facebook, especially when it comes to videogames (apparently my friends are the same way, as I'm always seeing their achievements on my wall). The Facebook game addiction looks to going up to the next level starting next year, as Firaxis is bringing Civilization Network to the social application. Here is some info on the project:

"Civilization Network will allow you to join together with your friends to create the world's most powerful, richest, smartest, or just plain coolest civilization. You can coordinate your strategy to win great battles, share your technology to jump ahead of your rivals, lobby your family and friends to form your own government and win vital elections, manage and grow your cities to maximize production and happiness, spy on your enemies, and work with your friends to create the great Wonders of the World. The game will offer everything you enjoy in Civ in a fully persistent environment - you can play as much as you like, whenever you like, and it'll be free to play."

'Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman' Getting A Sequel

Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman was a unique take on the traditional RPG/dungeon creator sim, where you played as an evil god who helped create and manage a dungeon in order to kill wannabe heroes. The game has a sequel coming out in Japan, but despite the 3D in its name, it's still the same 2D graphic game, but with more features.

"The "D" here stands for "dungeons," not "dimensions," and it reflects how there are now three different types of dungeons to build and explore in this game: the 33 main dungeons that comprise 3D's story mode, the "everyday dungeons" (a mission mode with sets of levels divided by difficulty), and an as-yet-unrevealed third type of dungeon. Otherwise, the gist of the game is the same, with you digging a dungeon for your demon lord that's big, bad, and monster-laden enough to protect him from invading adventurers. New features include a gaggle of original monsters and the presence of water in your dungeons, which you can guide the flow of to create ponds and other traps."

'Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This?' (PSP) – Review

I'd heard about the development of this game for some time, but other than thinking the title was a work of genius, I never paid much attention to the actual gameplay whenever it surfaced in the news, so I went into the game rather blind upon a first go. After sitting down with the game, however, I found myself really enjoying this quirky amalgamation of all things gaming, geek, and genre related. If a solid puzzle game/sim mixed with top-notch humor and excellent writing is what you're after, you'll find a gem of a deal when it comes to Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!

'Knights In The Nightmare' (DS) – Review

Knights In The Nightmare proves to me that it's always possible to have too much happening in a game at one time. Die-hard fans of the SRPG genre will find a lot to enjoy here, but with so many confusing gameplay mechanics at play it can feel like a chore sometimes. If you take the time to learn the ropes, however, there's still a solid adventure waiting to be had.

'Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days' Trailer

I need portability to enjoy the Disgaea franchise - too much grinding to just watch that on TV. I'll have the chance to finally beat Disgaea 2 later this year, when the PSP port is released with some brand new stories and gameplay. Check the trailer out.

Download 'Command & Conquer: Red Alert' For Free

A game for free! I shouldn't have to tell you anymore news than that, but I will. In prep for the upcoming Red Alert 3 release, EA is making Command & Conquer: Red Alert available for free download. The only catch is that you're going to have to burn the game to disc before you can play it, but as long as you have the tech that shouldn't stop you from experiencing the game.
