'True Blood' (3.1) “Bad Blood” – Review
Fri, 06/18/2010 - 09:16 — Karyn Methven
Sookie comes back from the loo only to find Bill gone and his chair overturned. She calls the cops, but Kenya doesn’t believe Sookie and tells her he’s only a missing person. Meanwhile, Bill is in his car with his captors driving at great speed down the road, and he is being drained of his blood as his captors get high off his blood. Bill manages to snap the neck of the driver and his car overturns. Bill escapes, but he has called Jessica in the meantime. Poor Jessica is having her own problems. The trucker she attacked is dying and she can’t save him.

I just finished the third book in the series, so I somewhat know what to expect coming into the third season of True Blood, which premieres very soon. I'm even more psyched for the upcoming season after seeing this trailer. It looks fantastic. And for the guys out there, be sure to pay attention at the 1:52 mark...just saying. Grrrrr.

'True Blood' Returns In June
Tue, 03/16/2010 - 08:42 — Jason Van Horn
Screw Twilight! True Blood - arguably the best vampire series out there (though I do love me some Vampire Diaries) - is moving on to its third season this summer, and it was just announced that the series will be returning on June 13th at 9PM Eastern.

'True Blood' Casts Lindsay Pulsipher
Mon, 12/21/2009 - 09:19 — Jason Van Horn
Lindsay Pulsipher - most recently seen in The Beast - has just been cast to join True Blood for its third season. Pulsipher will play Crystal Norris, a "barefoot sundress-wearing woman who shares an electric connection with Jason (Ryan Kwanten) before vanishing into the forest." Vanishing into the forest? It certainly sounds like another were-animal.
More 'True Blood' Season Three Casting Announcements
Thu, 12/17/2009 - 10:38 — Jason Van Horn
True Blood continues to add new members to the cast, really rounding out what's hopefully a great third season. First up, Joe Manganiello has just been cast as the alpha werewolf - Alcide. There's also Alfre Woodard playing Lafayette's mom and Tara's aunt and Natasha Alam playing Yvetta (new sexual play thing for Eric). I haven't read the third book yet, so I'm curious if these are people in the books, and if so how they fit with how they saw them.
'True Blood' Casts Several New Roles
Tue, 12/15/2009 - 09:55 — Jason Van Horn
True Blood is going to have some extra actors when it returns for its third season. Today we've learned that J. Smith-Cameron will play Sam's mom, while James Frain will play Tara's love interest. Wow...she got over Eggs quick. Oh yeah, her new guy is a vampire named Franklin Mott. I don't know if I like the idea of him being a vampire (it's a little too Sookie for me).
'True Blood' Vamp Becomes Series Regular
Fri, 12/11/2009 - 09:22 — Jason Van Horn
Kristin Bauer - who plays Eric's flunky Pam on True Blood - has gone from a peripheral character to series regular status in season three. Rumors even suggest that she's going to be involved in some lesbian action this season. Did Pam see anyone in the novels? I really need to get the third book read before the season starts.
'A Southern Vampire Mystery' Books Likely To End Soon
Mon, 10/26/2009 - 08:26 — Jason Van Horn
The Southern Vampire Mystery series - the books that HBO's hit True Blood is based upon - is likely to be ending relatively soon. Author Charlaine Harris, while on tour promoting her short story compilation of Sookie stories, revealed there may only be a handful of books left in the series.
"I've signed a contract to write three more after the one that's coming out in May, and they may be the last three," Harris told CNN. "Probably by then I will have lived with Sookie long enough."
