    Interviews about videogames

'Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2' (DS) – Interview with Nobby Matsuo (Producer) and Glenn Stotz (Product Specialist)

Ever since the first time I picked one up, RPGs have always been my genre of choice when it comes to videogames. So an RPG with Naruto characters is already a win-win in my book. I'm happy to report, however, that TOMY won't just be releasing a run-of-the-mill RPG with a coat of Naruto paint covering the interior, as the game won't just tell an original story, but will feature something hardly ever seen in an RPG – multiplayer battles. I talked with Nobby Matsuo (Producer) and Glenn Stotz (Product Specialist) to find out all about this new, multiplayer component.

'Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2' (Wii) – Interview with Nobby Matsuo (Producer)

When it comes to the Naruto franchise, I'm a stickler for developers doing something new with the series, instead of relying on the same storyline and characters that fans have seen used hundreds of times by now. TOMY is one such developer, who doesn't just take what they are given and pump a game out for bucks. Instead, TOMY has gone out of their way to not only include a story never seen before, but have created a handful of new characters to round out the Naruto universe, and delve into a part of the mythology rarely touched upon – the Anbu. In a recent chat, we talked with Nobby Matsuo (Producer) about the upcoming fighter for the Wii.

'Go! Go! Break Steady' (XBLA) - Interview with Ahmed Usman Khalid

Since July 23rd, 2008, Xbox users have had access to a pretty interesting Xbox Live Arcade title. While not at first an obvious marriage of genres, Little Boy Games' Go! Go! Break Steady combines a musical rhythm game with a puzzler, and veneering it with an art style matched by nothing else on XBLA. GGBS is the first game from the upstart company, founded in Vancouver, B.C., by Ahmed Usman Khalid and his business partner Ivan Tung. We had a chance to ask Ahmed some questions concerning their break dancing puzzler.

(To coincide with the release of the title, Little Boy Games is running a free t-shirt promotion. Details can be found on their website)

'Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2' (Wii) – Interview with Glenn Stotz

You had me at Asuma…or so I would've said had Jerry Maguire been running through my head at the time. Finally, a chance to play as my favorite beard sporting Naruto character, who I've always admired with a sense of awe whenever he appeared in the anime. Though adding Asuma to the roster was already a boon in my book, the inclusion of a brand-new story, new characters, and several new modes all helped solidify Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 as the Naruto game to keep my eye on more than any other. I got to take part in a conference call for the game, chatting with Glenn Stotz – Product Specialist at Tomy – about what to expect when the game is released.
