US Version of 'Being Human' Has Two Genre Regs As Writers
Thu, 01/14/2010 - 09:27 — Jason Van Horn
As with most things that prove themselves successful, the US - more specifically Syfy - has decided to Americanize/remake the British series Being Human (the story of a werewolf, ghost, and vampire being roommates together). While at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, Syfy's EVP for Original Programming - Mark Stern - revealed that the husband-and-wife duo Jeremy Carver (Supernatural) and Anna Fricke (The CW's Privileged) will be writing the series. Sounds like a pretty good mixture for a supernatural character drama.

Mark Pellegrino Becomes The Devil In 'Supernatural'
Mon, 06/29/2009 - 09:24 — Jason Van Horn
Mark Pellegrino - who fans last saw playing Jacob in the season finale of Lost - has just signed on to play the recently released Devil in Supernatural's upcoming season. It's unclear whether or not his signing will keep him from playing Jacob anymore, but he's not set to be a regular every week character in Supernatural, so he could be on Lost too. I mean, honestly, how do you not have Jacob, use him like he was used in the season finale, and then not bring him back. Jacob was instantly a character I wanted to know more about after seeing him.
The CW Renews 'Smallville' and 'Supernatural'
Wed, 02/25/2009 - 10:49 — Jason Van Horn
The CW is proving to be one of the safest homes for genre television this season, as (to my knowledge) the show has just picked up all of its genre shows for at least another season. The only exception is Reaper, which has yet to start its second season, so it's only justifiable that it wasn't among the ones picked up for another season just yet. If you're a Smallville or Supernatural fan, however, you'll be seeing all your favorite characters for at least one more television season.
