Why am I not surprised that my own little podunk neck of the woods never received a release of the first live-action Death Note film? I doubt I'll be able to see the release of the second Death Note film either when it hits US theaters come this October. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with the manga releases for the time being.

Death Note was one of the first manga series I ever collected, so I hold a special place in my heart for it introducing manga to me. I also love the Simpsons, especially when it comes to their Treehouse of Horrors episodes. Though not quite the same, the next Simpsons Halloween based comic will have a Death Note parody within its pages. You just know Bart will be Light and Lisa will probably be L.

I'm actually downloading iTunes right now for the first time, but whether I use it to purchase any anime episodes remains to be seen. The Anime News Network is reporting that iTunes has now added Bleach, Naruto, and Death Note episodes to its services.

"English dubbed versions of the first 41 episodes of Bleach, all 37 episodes of Death Note, and the first 25 uncut episodes of Naruto are now on the service."
