    'Audition' (PC) – Preview

Before Audition came along, I thought I was pretty rhythmatically inclined. I can nail Guitar Hero and Rock Band songs up until the last half of the hard modes. I've beaten every song in the Elite Beat Agents and Ouendan games on every difficulty. So why can't I master four little arrow keys enough to not finish dead last or next to dead last in every game of Audition I play? You'll have to start at the bottom, but it's quite fun to So You Think You Can Dance your way to the top as you get better at the game.

'Deca Sports 2' (Wii) – Preview

Petanque? Petanque? What the hell is petanque? It was the first question I asked as a preview copy of Hudson's Deca Sports 2 made its way into my hands. The first Deca Sports wasn't a bad little assortment of sports themed minigames, but what do you do for the sequel when you've already covered most of the better-known sports out there? As it turns out, you find a few gems by way of sports you might never had heard of before or either never considered a sport to begin with.

    'NinjaTrick' (PC) – Preview

I think at least every guy (probably some girls too) in the world has at one time wanted to be a ninja. Slinking through the darkness, dispatching enemies with quickness, and escaping under the concealment of the night. Various anime/manga properties – most notably Naruto – have changed that perception of what a ninja is to a more kid friendly version, where ninja are more known for their supernatural powers than anything else. NinjaTrick is a game that straddles these two extremes to produce an action-packed multiplayer game that's all about zipping around, laying traps, and attacking with special jutsu moves to weaken your enemy.

Touring The World Of 'Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent' (PC) – Preview

I absolutely adore Atlus. In this industry there aren't enough companies taking risks to bring something new to the gamers out there, but Atlus likes taking risks on niche titles, which might not always appeal to the masses. It's ironic then that Atlus' newest project is Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent – a free-to-play massively multiplayer online game. I was lucky enough to be one of the first few members of the press to explore the game and I'm here to give you the report on what I witnessed and how the game played.

'Silkroad Online' – Exploring The "Tomb of the Qin-Shi Emperor"

It's been a while since I last journeyed into the world of Silkroad Online, but since then the Joymax team has been hard at work constantly updating the game with new content and adventures for fans to discover. Most recently, the team released its fourth expansion – called Legends – entitled "Tomb of the Qin-Shi Emperor." The tomb is a high-level dungeon and it's meant to test the skill of any who dare adventure into its depths. Rob Alvarez (Community Manager) and Dennis Winter (Game Operation Associate) joined me on my guided tour of the Qin-Shi Emperor's tomb to see what was up with the new dungeon.

'Marble Saga: Kororinpa' (Wii) – Preview

Game companies have a strange fascination with rolling balls around. You've got the trash-gathering ball in Katamari Damacy, marbles in Marble Madness, and even spheres containing monkeys in Super Monkey Ball. The latest game to fall into the ball rolling genre is coming from Hudson in the way of Marble Saga: Kororinpa, a game that places you in the roll of an ant, rolling his way to the Golden Sunflower. So how's the game shaping up?

    E3 2008 Preview: 'Project Origin' (Xbox 360)

One of the best first-person shooters I've played of recent is FEAR. I was so enamored with the bullet-time gunplay and supernatural horror story that I went out and bought the expansion pack set for the 360 as soon as it came out. So imagine my thrill when at this year's E3 I got to checkout Monolith's sequel – Project Origin. With more open environments and tons of gun fighting action, Project Origin is set to be the true sequel every FEAR fan has been waiting for all this time.

    E3 2008 Preview: 'Dark Void' (Xbox 360)

Were you a fan of the movie The Rocketeer growing up? If you haven't seen the film, shame on you. If you have seen the film, however, you'll feel right at home with the gameplay style of the upcoming game Dark Void. The Rocketeer never fought robots, scaled cliffs, or hijacked UFOs, but still the essence of the game feels very similar to the film. With a jetpac on your back and the skies your limit, Dark Void is shaping up to be quite the potential hit.

    E3 2008 Preview: 'Fallout 3' (Xbox 360)

Before my chance to see Fallout 3 at this year's E3, I wouldn't have believed the concept of time travel was possible. Much to my surprise, however, Bethesda managed to create a time travel machine with their latest offering – Fallout 3. Fallout 3 not only transports fans back to the olden days of the franchise's heyday, but you'll also find yourself exploring the world, wanting to try one more thing out, and the next thing you know thirty minutes have gone by in what only seems like ten. I literally lost all sense of time when playing the game.

    E3 2008 Preview: 'Left 4 Dead' (PC)

Before Left 4 Dead came along, I would've never thought it was possible to be in the same room with three other people and yet still feel so very alone and scared. Though there have been a number of horrifying FPS and survival horror games over the past years, Left 4 Dead is the first one to actually make me "feel" as if I was really transported into the game, living out the actions of my character. You can chalk part of that up to the atmosphere and immersion level, but part of it also comes from the frantic gunfights and team cooperation gameplay. Left 4 Dead – proof that running zombies are always more frightening.

E3 2008 Preview: 'Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherood' (DS)

Sonic has enjoyed a long and storied history throughout gaming, taking part in a number of different videogame genres. Sonic got his start on the Genesis with a platformer, but since then he's been involved with kart racers, sports games, and even pinball! The one genre Sonic has never tackled, however, is the role-playing game genre…until now. The game wasn't even on my interest radar up until now, but after getting some quality time with the game at E3, I'm already anticipating plunking down money for a pre-buy.

    E3 2008 Preview: 'MADWORLD' (Wii)

What’s black and white and red all over? I would’ve thought the answer was a “newspaper” before E3, but after seeing SEGA’s MADWORLD demoed I have a new definitive answer. MADWORLD is a crazy, sick game that has players taking on the role of Jack, a man who finds himself in a Running Man like game of death, where the only way to win is to literally kill off the competition. Stylish and violent, MADWORLD looks to show the world that the Nintendo Wii is far from being a kiddy system.

    E3 2008 Preview: 'Bayonetta' (Xbox 360)

I rolled into Sega’s meeting room expecting to see nothing more than a new Sonic game. I had some time to kill before my next scheduled appointment, so when a nice woman asked if I’d like to sit-in on a demo of a game called Bayonetta, I went ahead and said sure. I wasn’t expecting much from the game, considering the fact I hadn’t heard of it before, but soon I found myself enamored with a remarkably stylish and action packed game. If you haven’t heard of the title either, read on and find out why you should remember this game’s name.
